Day 1: Depart U.S. for Dublin

Day 2: Dublin Arrive at Dublin Airport and go to the CIE Tours desk in the Arrivals Hall for a group transfer to your hotel between 7:00 am and 12:00 noon. Your hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the River Liffey. Use your two prepaid vouchers for an open-top bus tour of central Dublin and a visit to either the Guinness Storehouse or Old Jameson Distillery.

Day 3: Dublin to Kilkenny Pick up your car at Hertz downtown office and head south today. Dublin to Kilkenny is only 80 miles by the direct route but there are plenty of sights to see in the vicinity. Suggested visits - Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens, Wicklow Historic Gaol and Avondale House.

Day 4: Kilkenny to Killarney It's 120 miles by the most direct route but there are a number of routes you can take via Cork and Blarney or through Limerick. Suggested visits - Blarney Castle and Fota House & Gardens.

Day 5: Kerry Touring Today you may like to take a full day tour to travel the popular 100-mile Ring of Kerry. Discounted visits - Kerry County Museum and Skellig Experience. The Dingle Peninsula is also a lovely tour and would be about 120 miles.

Day 6: Killarney to Galway Whether you drive via the city of Limerick or take a ferry across the River Shannon Estuary, the distance is about 100 miles. Discounted visits - King John's Castle and Bunratty Folk Park. You may like to view the Cliffs of Moher before driving to your hotel in the center of Galway.

Day 7: Connemara Discovery You may explore this scenic region today. Drive through the open countryside with hills and lakes. Suggested visits - Kylemore Abbey & Gardens and Catamaran Cruise on Killary Fjord.

Day 8: Galway to Dublin Drive right across Ireland - a distance of 130 miles. Suggested visit - Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre.

Day 9: Depart for Home Drop your rental car at Dublin Airport in good time to check in for your flight.
